Jax&Co are a best-loved band in Somersham!! They began their musical adventure back in 2017 as a Johnny Cash Tribute act, with Jax and Mama D leading from the front with high energy performances and fabulous vocals, while Slim, Jim and Nos provide outstanding accompaniment in rhythm and instrumental embellishment. Now known for many great rock and Southern classics from the 60s and 70s, and their own original tunes. Often referred to as Suffolk’s hardest working band, Jax&Co have matured to become an excellent and entertaining professional ensemble - if you haven’t seen them play at Wheelie Fun Day, catch them at The Duke for a best-ever night to remember!!

“BE KIND TO ALL KIND” is the motto of our vibrant club, much-loved by village & local school-aged children: 5-16 year-olds. We meet at the Community Pavilion on the Playing Field every Thursday throughout spring, summer and autumn, 6-8pm.
** During August summer holidays the Youth Club will run on a numbers basis. If parents / guardians can check the Somersham Youth Club Facebook page - we will put out a message to see how many children will be attending, and if there are enough numbers, we will run Youth Club. **

Welcome to our July acoustic night!! Bring your favourite instrument and join in. Performed in and around the table, buskers format. All musicians and singers welcome. Very many talented people turn up, and enjoy a lovely atmosphere, like buskers’ evenings of old. 
Lovely to see so many happy people enjoying themselves and the ambience of our lovely, dear community-owned pub!
There’s a warm welcome waiting for accordions, banjos, double basses, fiddles, guitars, harmonicas, percussion, ukuleles, and a plethora of other instruments - not to mention plenty of a cappella and other singing. Everyone, from beginners to experienced musicians and singers, is welcome! ……it’s amazing to think that there’s probably been music and singing in our village pub for over 500 years!

The Somersham FUN DOG SHOW will be raising funds for the voluntary group, The Ipswich Group Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) - which provides therapeutic riding and equine therapy for children and adults with special needs. The gentle movement of the horse provides excellent therapeutic benefits for balance, coordination, and overall well-being.
Our fields are next to Somersham Village Hall.
