Our small, welcoming café is open 10:00am-3:30pm Monday to Friday, and 10:00am-12:30pm Saturdays - (CLOSED on Sundays). TAKE-AWAY and OWN-MUG also available.
** Meet Up Mondays – 2pm, every Monday (except Bank Holidays) - ALL ARE WELCOME! **
Please stop by for a chat or drop in to warm-up (or cool down…..don’t forget, we have air-conditioning!) after a walk around the village and along our beautiful local footpaths!
If you’re working from home, stretch your legs and pick up something nice for your lunch from our well-stocked shelves, chillers and freezers.
Or maybe your dog needs a walk….but you need a hot (or cold!!) drink!
We also have picnic tables on the playing field next to our Shop; including accessible tables providing comfortable and convenient seating for individuals using wheelchairs, and which can also make life easier for parents. We also have an accessible toilet and a changing mat.

“BE KIND TO ALL KIND” is the motto of our vibrant club, much-loved by village & local school-aged children: 5-16 year-olds. We meet at the Community Pavilion on the Playing Field every Thursday throughout spring, summer and autumn, 6-8pm.

Date for your diary!!! – FUN DOG SHOW – Sunday 27th September (in support of Ipswich Riding for the Disabled Association). Full details will be available over the summer - https://gofrolic.co.uk
The Somersham FUN DOG SHOW will be raising funds for the voluntary group, The Ipswich Group Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) - which provides therapeutic riding and equine therapy for children and adults with special needs. The gentle movement of the horse provides excellent therapeutic benefits for balance, coordination, and overall well-being.
Our fields are next to Somersham Village Hall.

*Smaller portion sizes, but just as yummy* - we offer a Seniors’ Set Menu every Friday from 12pm to 2:30pm, featuring 2 courses - including options such as beer-battered fish, gammon, sausage & mash, soup and desserts such as apple crumble and jam sponge.
The Duke of Marlborough is a 15th century community-owned village pub near Ipswich, in the pretty village of Somersham. Managed by husband and wife, Claire and Matt, who invite you to enjoy their warm welcome and the friendly atmosphere created by the wonderful team of staff and volunteers!
