Welcome to our charming community-owned pub nestled under historic beams! We're delighted to offer you a warm and friendly atmosphere, with great service from our passionate team.

Come and enjoy delicious, freshly cooked food and a wide selection of drinks in a building that has been welcoming guests for nearly 500 years! Our kitchen serves up comforting home-style meals made from locally sourced ingredients. Whether you love British pub classics, tasty specials, or fresh seafood, there's something to delight every palate.

In the summer months, relax on our lovely terrace shaded by a beautiful walnut tree, or stay cozy by our two inviting wood-burning fires during the colder seasons. There are plenty of scenic walks in the valley, and your furry friends are very welcome—be sure to grab some doggie treats at the bar!

Since being bought in 2017 by a vibrant community of over 250 wonderful people, the Duke has thrived as a lively and welcoming hub. It’s now run by Claire and Matt Rees, along with their dedicated team, who will always greet you with a smile. Our staff are supported by a community management group and volunteers, helping us keep the pub vibrant and community-focused while maintaining a professional and welcoming atmosphere.

We’re open from Wednesday to Sunday with food being served on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and a delicious full Sunday roast from 12-4 pm. We always have vegetarian and vegan options, many gluten-free dishes, and even offer tasty takeaway meals.

As a proud freehouse real ale pub, we usually have at least three cask ales on tap, along with a range of keg lagers, ciders, and soft drinks.
