The new 51 service, between Hadleigh, Bildeston and Stowmarket; and 52 service, between Hadleigh and Aldham, are set to begin on April 13 2026 and are UK government-funded - our village bus, route 111, will connect with this new service at Bildeston and Hitcham; see below for the new timetables - the service will be run by KonectBus.

From Mid Suffolk District Council. From 1 June 2026, households will have more opportunities to recycle as part of nationwide changes to waste collections. These changes include:
:: a new weekly food waste collection service - allowing residents to dispose of unusable and expired food items (new Kitchen Caddy and its Outdoor Mini-bin - delivered to you inside the new Blue-lid bin)
:: extra items will be accepted in the recycling collection - including glass, cartons, and plastic bags, wrappings and film (new Blue-lid bin)
:: a separate collection for paper and card (existing Green-lid bin)
:: Black refuse bin (general rubbish) remains the same
:: New three-weekly collection schedule for the three large bins
:: New weekly food waste collection - households will receive two food waste containers:
