The Tournament dart games started at 1pm on Saturday 27th June, and finished circa 8pm. The Duke of Marlborough opened at midday.

The two losing semi-finalists were Josh Wilden of The Limeburners team and Nathan Fillbrook of the Dukes of Hazzard team (Duke of Marlborough). The Runner-Up, Karl Mortimer is an independent player…..and the Winner, Matt Whitton is a member of The Afterburners, a new team based at The Limeburners pub in Offton.
:: Matt “Champion” Whitton also won the highest checkout trophy for getting a 115-out, congratulations! When interviewed Matt said, “My son Freddie (also of The Afterburners team) being in India meant that this was my big chance, phew!!!”

The Elmsett & District Darts League doesn’t really take a long break. We finished the Winter League at end of April and then started the Summer League in May. And it goes round and round!
Over the years, this fabulous darts tournament has raised thousands of pounds for S&DCA WHEELIE FUN DAY (held on Saturday 4th July 2026) - featuring live music, cherished-vehicle show, market stalls, food, swing grill, drink, bars, cycle speedway, skateboarding, Suffolk Punch horses, birds of prey, and family entertainment.
:: The 2025 Champion was Nathan Fillbrook, is captain of The Dukes of Hazzard - the team based at the Duke of Marlborough.
Loads of players enter the Somersham Open Darts Tournament each year (female, male, all ages) and if you’re not entered for the Tournament - it's still a great day out at the Duke, full of fun and Darts-drama!
Meet up with friends and family...as well as friends you haven't made yet!
.......and there's also a Raffle with loads of brilliant prizes, don't forget to buy your tickets!

:: Food was provided by Belle’s Kitchen, serving a tasty array of dishes from their Food Truck!

Somersham has one darts team, playing in the Elmsett & District Darts League - The Dukes of Hazzard, based at the Duke of Marlborough. Offton has The Limeburners and The Afterburners teams (based at the Limeburners pub).
The Misfits are now based at the Rose & Crown in Elmsett.
The Elmsett & District Darts League is always looking for new teams - we currently have 6 and come the winter we will have 7 teams.

WHEELIE FUN DAY is a large traditional village fête held on Somersham playing field in Suffolk, we welcome young, old and families - activities and attractions usually include: Live music + entertainment on our stage all day, classic + cherished vehicle show and all sorts of wheel-power…..cycle speedway, bicycles and motorcycles, skateboarding… plus Suffolk Punch horses, birds of prey, a marketplace of local + trade stalls, plus choices for hot + cold food, three bars, fête games, children’s and family entertainment and a Grand Raffle.
