Welcome to our hugely popular fundraising quiz night!! Come join us for our fun monthly fundraising quiz, this time raising funds for The Cats Protection League (Ipswich) - Cats Protection is a registered charity 203644 - https://www.cats.org.uk/ipswich
The Ipswich Branch of the Cats Protection League always has a stall at Wheelie Fun Day!
£2 entry per person, maximum 6 to a team - 50% goes to the Charity with a cash prize for the winning team and chocolates for last place.

Over recent years, our fundraising quiz nights at The Duke have helped raise thousands of pounds for local charities, local offices of regional and national charities - and particularly, charities with a special meaning for those who live and work here.
Duke fundraising quiz beneficiaries include: Barking Pre-School, Bumblebee Children's Charity, Combat2Coffee, Friends of Somersham School FOSS, Marie Curie End of Life charity, MND Association Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon, Somersham & District Community Association (inc Wheelie Fun Day), Somersham Youth Club, and many more.

A community-owned, ancient inn in the heart of Suffolk. With great food, real ales and a beautiful rural setting with many local walks. Our pub, dating back to the 15th century, offers a traditional setting with hearty British pub classics, local beers, a summer terrace - and wood-burning fires in the winter. It is managed by Somersham husband-and-wife team Claire & Matt Rees.

As you step inside, you’ll be greeted with warm smiles, beautiful oak beams and cosy nooks - including our glorious green snug! During the summer enjoy our lovely terrace, shaded by our beautiful Walnut tree - or get cosy by our two wood-burning fire stoves in the winter. We’re also fully dog-friendly, so bring your furry friend along for a walk in the countryside - and please help yourself to dog biscuits if you bring your best friend!

We serve award-winning traditional ales and craft beers: Victoria Bitter (Earl Soham) and Woodforde’s Wherry amber ale.

Enjoy our rotating selection of seasonal brews.
We offer keg beers, lagers, ciders - wines, spirits, liqueurs, cocktails, low & no-alcohol, and cordials.

Plus standard and premium lagers and ciders, including Aspall Cyder and Hawkstone.

We have Adnams Broadside, a strong ale brewed with East Anglian Malt.
We now keep Norfolk Rum, produced entirely in England by the Norfolk Spirit Company.
And have recently included Beyond the Firs, and Pintle pale ale from the Burnt Mill Brewery, near Stowmarket, Suffolk - known for hazy, unfiltered styles with strong hop profiles.
