Get ready for a *Wheelie Fun* night of trivia, laughter, and fundraising! Join us for the Wheelie Fun Quiz - an evening packed with questions on transport, world geography, iconic movie vehicles, famous journeys, travel trivia, and much more. Whether you're a petrolhead, a film buff, a music maestro, a geography genius, or just someone who loves a good quiz night, there's something for everyone. Gather your team, test your knowledge, and help support Somersham's Wheelie Fun Day while enjoying a brilliantly fun night out!

WHEELIE FUN DAY (S&DCA) is our cause on Thursday 18th June 2026 - it is run by a committed and enthusiastic team, who work hard to organise a wide variety of fun and  activities in order to increase awareness of the village playing field and facilities, and the potential for health and wellbeing across the charity’s beneficial area. WHEELIE FUN DAY is a large traditional village fête held on Somersham playing field in Suffolk on Saturday 4th July 2026 - FREE ENTRY | 10am to 10pm! We welcome young, old and families - activities and attractions include: Live music + entertainment on our stage all day, classic + cherished vehicle show, plus wheel power including cycle speedway, skateboards, bicycles and motorcycles. Suffolk Punch horses, Falconry display, a marketplace of local + trade stalls, plus choices for hot + cold food, three bars, fête games, children’s and family entertainment!

Over recent years, our fundraising quiz nights at The Duke have helped raise thousands of pounds for local charities, local offices of regional and national charities - and particularly, charities with a special meaning for those who live and work here.

Duke fundraising quiz beneficiaries include: Barking Pre-School, Bumblebee Children's Charity, Combat2Coffee, Friends of Somersham School FOSS, Marie Curie End of Life charity, MND Association Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon, Somersham & District Community Association (inc Wheelie Fun Day), Somersham Youth Club, and many more.

As you step inside, you’ll be greeted with warm smiles, beautiful oak beams and cosy nooks - including our glorious green snug! During the summer enjoy our lovely terrace, shaded by our beautiful Walnut tree - or get cosy by our two wood-burning fire stoves in the winter. We’re also fully dog-friendly, so bring your furry friend along for a walk in the countryside - and please help yourself to dog biscuits if you bring your best friend!

We serve award-winning traditional ales and craft beers: Victoria Bitter (Earl Soham) and Woodforde’s Wherry amber ale.

Enjoy our rotating selection of seasonal brews.
We offer keg beers, lagers, ciders - wines, spirits, liqueurs, cocktails, low & no-alcohol, and cordials.

Plus standard and premium lagers and ciders, including Aspall Cyder and Hawkstone.

We have Adnams Broadside, a strong ale brewed with East Anglian Malt.
We now keep Norfolk Rum, produced entirely in England by the Norfolk Spirit Company.
And have recently included Beyond the Firs, and Pintle pale ale from the Burnt Mill Brewery, near Stowmarket, Suffolk - known for hazy, unfiltered styles with strong hop profiles.
